Mom Brings Homemade Dip On Air, Then Reporter Immediately Starts Gagging

This is what happens when your spinach artichoke dip goes terribly wrong on live television. The co-hosts of Global News Calgary were sharing Christmas recipes on air.

Leslie Horton is a reporter and mother. Her family insisted that she make something from scratch for the family dinner because everyone else was. Horton was incredibly busy, but she agreed anyway.

Instead of making the fruitcake she normally enjoys, she decided on a no-bake artichoke dip that was supposed to be easy and delicious. As soon as she brought it out, her three co-hosts started gagging.

She put a heaping spoonful of the dip onto a cracker, but gave them fair warning: it did not go well.

Everyone was terrified to try it. They said it reeked of vinegar, Horton said there wasn't a drop of vinegar in the recipe. Then the moment of truth came. One of her fellow reporters could not keep it down.

He spit it back up into his napkin and needed to cleanse his palette with a drink. Everyone was cracking up with laughter. What better way to get into the holiday spirit than poking fun at your holiday recipe fails?

Horton and the gang had a great sense of humor about everyone's mortified reactions. What are some of your biggest and funniest recipe fails? Let us know in the comments!
