Sometimes, you get so stinking close to getting exactly what you want, and then the whole thing just blows up in your face. Like when you’re a little boy who only has sisters (SISTERS, DANG IT!!) and another baby is on the way. You hope and hope and hope and hope you’ll finally get a brother, and then this happens.
Poor boy. Really. I feel his pain. I seriously hope his dad was joking when he said “You had the same reaction I did, bud.” I’m pretty positive he was. My favorite part of this whole thing is the little girl who keeps trying to get Gunner to eat some cake by saying “There’s jelly in it. There’s jelly in it.” Gunner, one day you’re gonna love having a bunch of sisters! I promise.
