Baby Panda Doesn’t Want To Give Up His Favorite Ball For Checkup Time

When you were a little kid, chances are there was one special toy or certain item you loved above all the others crowding up your toy box. For me, it wasn't my Barbies or other playthings that I kept by my side. Instead, I could be seen dragging a cozy blanket one of my mom's friends knit for me from place to place. I fondly referred to it as my "night night." However, despite its moniker, I carried it with me at all hours of the day. As someone who never had to be told twice that it was nap time, you can imagine how often it came in handy.

Apparently, we humans are the only ones who grow pretty devoted to our cherished tokens and knickknacks. Of course, we all know how sentimental our cats and dogs can be when it comes to their favorite toy. But even less domestic animals can develop an attachment to their favorite trinket, as the cutie in the video below proves with ample levels of adorableness.

The precious panda's name is Xiao Liwu and he was born at the San Diego Zoo back in 2012. While he's probably much bigger by now, this clip was taken when he was still a tiny tyke receiving one of his checkups at just a few months old. His caretakers clearly have a lot of fun cuddling up with the handsome boy, but have a little trouble getting him to relinquish his beloved ball so they can properly measure and weigh him.

Take a look to see his hilariously sweet struggle to cling to the toy.
