Sometimes, friends come to us in the most unexpected times. And sometimes, they're completely different than us, yet still fit into our lives perfectly.
Those are the best kinds of friends. The family you're about to meet below came across a little friend that has both of those qualities.
One morning, this family in Slovenia woke up to find an intruder sleeping outside with their dog.
It was a baby bear cub, and although he was so thin they really weren't sure if he would survive, they left him alone for a few days — expecting a mama bear to be nearby.
But she never came. So they decided to take the cub in after realizing he'd been abandoned and needed some help to survive.
After he was stolen and eventually recovered, the bear became known as Lucky. The family cared for him as a part of their family, which you can clearly see as he fools around with their dog during the interview below. But some people had differing opinions on taking a cub into a home.
After spending time with this family and an eventual custody battle, Lucky went on to live at a sanctuary in Harghita in central Romania.
