A group of bikers recently gathered for this year's Sturgis Motorcycle Rally at Custer State Park in South Dakota — a state that currently has no mask mandates and very light policies on social distancing.
One of the attendees, a 54-year-old woman from Iowa, decided to try to approach a wild bison calf for a photo opportunity.
A herd of bison stood in the middle of the road.
Visitors at Custer State Park are urged to keep their distance from the bison that live there.
Just as the woman got closer to the calf, an adult bison (probably the calf's mother) took notice and came charging at her, throwing her to the ground in front of stunned onlookers.

She was literally thrown out of her jeans in the process as the bison's horn got caught in her belt.
Thankfully, the woman survived and is now recovering.
