Look Closely At This Photo — This Blue Angels Pilot Is Getting Attention For 1 AMAZING Reason

The Blue Angels are the second-oldest flying aerobatic team in the world. Since their inception after the war in 1946, this group of elite pilots have been hand picked among our nation's Navy and Marine Corps pilots after an intense "rushing" period.

In its nearly 70 years of service to our country, this team of pilots has showcased the pride and professionalism of the United States Navy and Marine Corps by inspiring the total excellence and perfection that these elites have to offer.

Through stunning maneuvers, intense g-forces, and approaching deadly close altitudes at breakneck speeds

However, over the years, women haven't had the honor of flying amongst the best of the best. Third-generation pilot and U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Katie Higgins did her very best to see if she could change that trend when she went all out to gain a coveted spot within the ranks of this legendary squadron.

Higgins' dream over the years was to be a pilot — just like her dad — behind the yoke of the C-130 Hercules nicknamed "Fat Albert."

What do you think about Higgins' inspirational fight to get to the very top of these flyboys? She really brings new meaning behind the phrase, "girl power!"

It broke our hearts that so many little girls came up to her, completely unaware that women even could fly planes. Let Higgins know what you think about her!
