I've grown up with boxer dogs, so I definitely have a special place in my heart for their sweet squished faces.
They're such happy dogs, even though their resting face may not look like it. I remember seeing this video of a boxer dog literally jumping for joy when his owner was going to take him for a walk — that's pretty much a replica of my boxer's reactions to… Well, anything.
This boxer pup, Rex, was put on the list to be euthanized at a shelter, but his new owner rescued him with optimism for his future. Although his back legs wouldn't work anymore, this human knew that didn't mean that he deserved to die.
He may not be able to jump and play like the others, but he has a nifty wheelchair to help him get around and a best friend named S'mores that will never leave his side. What could be better?
Just wait until you see who his best friend is! A very unlikely pair, but also very cute, don't you think? Reminds me a lot of the bear cub and kitty cat that became quick friends.
