For some, being young means living without fear. We know less and, as they say, ignorance is bliss.
Another common trait among kids? Making up stories — or just outright fibbing.
That’s not always intentional, though. Sometimes a kid's imagination gets the best of them. And sometimes they are actually telling the truth. It's just we adults are too quick to write them off or refuse to believe.
Which is exactly why the young man in the video below had to wait until they got it all on tape for anyone to believe him.
He'd made friends with a giant manta ray, and all he had to do was sprinkle some snacks into the water to bring her back to the surface.
As the clip shows, he calls his friend over. At first, you can barely make out the giant creature. When she splashes up, however, she reveals her massive size.
You can see that this manta ray is at least twice the size of the boy himself.
But he has no fear! He's made a new friend — what's there to be afraid of?
