While most children want to tear open their birthday presents, one awesome little boy decided to celebrate his 9th birthday in a much different way — and it's completely amazing. Ethan Katz told his parents that instead of receiving any gifts for himself, he wanted to save dogs in need!! His parents were surprised by his request, but they knew they had to make his wish come true. Ethan, a huge animal lover, ended up raising over $3,000 by selling tee shirts — and with that money, he saved 10 dogs from a kill shelter! Nothing makes me smile like this. Such a special little man!
Sometimes, the best gift you can receive is by giving back yourself. Ethan is now a hero because he lives by that rule, and it's so incredibly inspiring.
