Mom Confused By Son’s Strange Behavior Until She Sees A Video Of School’s ‘Seclusion Room’

Staley Sandy-Ester was a sweet, adventurous 7-year-old boy from Illinois. After being diagnosed with a severe case of ADHD, his parents, Beth and Danny, fully realized why he has such a difficult time sitting still and listening to directions. Paying attention and following the rules at school has been particularly hard.

To help move his education forward, Beth and Danny enrolled him in a school that tailors its programs to students with behavioral disorders.

Staley says he used to love school … but a recent incident has left him feeling the complete opposite. In fact, it's to the point where he is now being homeschooled.

It all started when Beth noticed Staley was acting differently. He seemed frightened of school and became more withdrawn from others.

“For months, I couldn’t hug my son,” Beth told Inside Edition. “He didn’t want to be touched.”

At first, she and Danny had no clue what was causing Staley's sudden anxiety.

Then the concerned parents saw a video taken at school. The footage was recorded in a controversial "seclusion room," also known as a "safety" or "isolation" room.

The disturbing clip finally revealed to Staley's parents why he seemed so traumatized all of the sudden …
