Dad’s Driving On Snowy Road, Then His 2 Little Boys Beg Him To Pull Over And Help Old Man

In every parent's life, there comes a moment where you get to pat yourself on the back and say, "Yeah, I'm raising these kids right."

Maybe it's the day your kiddo stands up to the school bully, or decides to start volunteering at the animal shelter, or maybe it's just the day that they get an A+ on spelling and a kudos from the teacher!

No matter what, these are the sweet highlights that parents live for, that confirm they're doing pretty well at this whole child-rearing thing.

For one dad, we imagine the sweetest moment of all came when his two little boys started yelling for him to pull over the car.

That's because this dad, Daniel Medina, apparently raised two mini-superheroes, and they insisted he pull over the car when they realized that someone needed their help!

There was an older gentleman on the side of the road, in his wheelchair, in the deep snow — and they weren't about to just drive by without lending a hand!

A little over a week ago, a dad named Daniel Medina took to Facebook to share a truly beautiful experience.

Somehow, we doubt that he ever expected the incredible response he got when he shared a simple picture of his two sons.

The photo was "liked" and reacted to more than 60,000 times, and a whopping 8,400 people decided to share the photo.

Maybe the incredible reaction to the photo can be traced to to the content.

Medina captioned the image, writing:

"Proud dad moment. We're driving down S 60th St. near Morgan, and my two sons, aged 10 and 6, asked me to pull over… They just saw a guy in a wheelchair trying to shovel his corner lot and they wanted to help."

We know a whole bunch of kids who have to be dragged kicking and screaming away from the TV when it's their turn to shovel, so this is some truly awesome behavior.

These two boys, just little guys themselves, couldn't bear to drive by someone in need without lending a hand!

That speaks to a family with some really strong values, and a knack for doing what's right.

We're guessing Dad didn't notice the gentleman in need — his eyes were on the road after all, but that's the wonderful thing about raising your kids well.

Even when you're distracted by other things, like safe driving on a snowy day, the precious cargo in the backseat has been raised to keep an eye on the rest of the world.

So when the two little ones spotted a potential crisis unfolding, all three members of the family were quick to act.

We can't imagine trying to shovel a heavy snowfall from inside a wheelchair; even with special snow tires, it would be tricky and slippery to get the leverage you need to shovel effectively.

Just as important, shoveling snow can put a lot of strain on the heart and lungs for anyone, of any ability level.

Someone in a wheelchair, unable to leverage his back and legs in the same way, might put himself at even more risk by lifting all that weight with just his arms and chest.

We're incredibly glad that Daniel Medina and his boys were driving by that day.

Not only did they perform a simply lovely do-gooder act by taking on the chore, they may even have helped to save the man in the wheelchair a lot of pain and possible danger.
