4-Year-Old’s Touching Photo Of His Prayers For Firefighters Goes Viral

As the uncontrollable fires in Northern California and other parts of the northwest continue to devastate the area, local residents are doing their best to pitch in however possible.

When 4-year-old Rocklin resident Brody Smith saw what was happening on his local news station, he knew just what to do.

He unpacked his Halloween costume from the year before, a helmet and fireman's jacket, and he sat near a window, closed his eyes, and began to pray. When his mother Kelly Smith saw what her son was doing, she captured the moment and shared it with her 18 followers on Twitter. That photo of Brody's prayers for the safety of local firefighters has now gone viral.

Brody's mom says that she's surprised the photo has gotten so much attention, because Brody was just doing his part to help. "He's not asking anything for himself," she tells USA Today. "He's not making promises. He's just saying, 'God, can you please protect the firefighters.' "

When asked by a reporter for USA Today to share his prayer for the men and women battling the wildfires, Brody clasped his hands together, bowed his head, and said the following:

"God, please help the firefighters get out [of] the fire. Amen."

If you were touched by Brody's prayer, please SHARE it with your friends and family on Facebook!
