Hope For Paws rushed to a junkyard to rescue two dogs that were living amongst trash, with nothing to eat and no one to help them.
Rescuers found the female dog first. She was hiding under wreckage and very afraid to come out. It's probably been a VERY long time since these two have come in contact with humans.
Eventually, Elsie realized that she was not in any harm and came out of hiding. You can tell she was worried about her brother, who was the stubborn one.
Elmer finally came out of hiding to check on his sister. Rescuers were able to gain his trust with a few snacks. The poor guy must have been VERY hungry!
Reunited and rescued at last! The duo realizes that they are finally safe and in good hands.
Time to get cleaned up! The darling dogs have their first bath in a very long time.
