Doctor Tells 14-Year-Old She Has 3 Weeks To Live, Then She Asks For Risky Experimental Drug

Cacsmy Brutus' situation is nothing short of a miracle.

She was diagnosed with both lung and bone cancer at a young age, and the outlook wasn't good. At just 14 years old, doctors told her that she only had three weeks to live.

After hearing this heartbreaking news, Cacsmy decided she was going to do anything she had to in order to stay alive. She started taking a risky experimental drug to fight her cancers.

Luckily, the biggest risk of her entire life paid off — big time.

She had beaten cancer thanks to the drug, however, there were complications. Cacsmy became a leg amputee.

But she didn't see this as a negative. Instead, the Brooklyn-born woman took something she lacked and used it as her biggest asset.

In the video below, posted on May 3, 2017, Cacsmy poses for the camera. Despite her struggles, Cacsmy is now a fashion model, appearing in several spreads and making a name for herself in the industry.

The leg amputee's missing limb never holds her back. In fact, it helps her to completely stand out, which may be the greatest gift of all.
