Carrie Fisher Tells Lonely Lady Not To Marry, But Her Reason Makes Ellen Burst Into Laughter

In the wake of the death of iconic Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher, fans are remembering her for all of her accomplishments, especially that pivotal role that inspired so many young girls.

It's perhaps also appropriate to remember Fisher for more than just one part. She was also a writer and a multifaceted performer, a champion for mental health education, and a mother.

Just one month before her untimely death, she appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show to promote her new book, The Princess Diarist. She also participated in a short segment Ellen called "Carrie Fishing for Answers."

Members of the audience were able to ask Fisher a question, and in return, she would offer her advice.

One woman hadn't dated in five years and asked her how to make her family stop pitying her. Another asked what she would tell her 30-year-old self. One last guest asked if it was possible to find love after the age of 60.

Fisher made the women watching go into fits of laughter when she gave her answers to all three questions. Her take on the issues the women faced was both honest and hilarious — traits that made her appealing and relatable in so many ways.

Watch the clip, and maybe you'll learn a thing or two from Fisher's wise and witty words!
