Pet loyalists have tend to lean one way or the other with their feeling on cats and dogs. Sure, it depends on the animal, but those species-centric personality quirks tend to leave us with some preference one way or another.
So BuzzFeed and America's Funniest Home Videos teamed up to bring us a compilation of hilarious standoffs between the two to tally who got the last laugh. (Spoiler alert: This one's an homage to the brilliance of our feline overlords). Because whether we want to admit it or not, it's generally our cats who're left standing in a battle of wills.
Their first example, for instance, is that classic nod to self-sufficiency. Let's be honest, when a cat's sleep cycle is 12-16 hours daily, he's going to need a lot less attention than our canine besties. Also for better or worse, they don't seem to think a think of size. They'll stand up to even the largest dogs — dominating spaces and calling all shots. And, as the video points out, they're great at amusing themselves — in fact, they'd probably prefer to play by alone anyway. So let's hear it for our manipulative cats, because we all know that we love them in spite of it.
