Her Old CDs Were Just Taking Up Space, So She Transformed Them Into Something Incredible!

Do you remember when the internet was brand-spankin' new, and every other day you received one of those AOL free trial discs in the mail? It seemed liked an amazing deal at first — but before you knew it, you were up to your eyeballs in them.

Well, in today's world of iPods, iPhones, and the infamous iCloud, it seems that all discs — not just those "1,000 Hours Free!" relics — have gone the way of the dodo.

But, if you've finally made the switch to an all-digital world, what are you supposed to do with all those old CDs and DVDs? Flea markets and thrift stores are flooded with them, but it seems like such a waste just to throw them away…

That's why these craft projects are perfect! I never would have thought to do this with old CDs, but it's absolutely brilliant. Not only is this a space-saver, but it's environmentally friendly and beautiful.

After scrolling through these steps, be sure to watch the video at the end for another ingenious idea.

She started by cutting the discs into pie slices.

Then she broke off each piece from the ring.

Her pile of shiny pieces began to grow as she kept cutting and breaking.

After sealing the shiny pieces with a clear gloss, she began to glue them to her birdbath with a strong adhesive.

When her birdbath bowl was all done, she decided it would be best to grout.

After spreading the grout, she used a damp cloth to wipe it away.

Her garden is now a sparkly oasis for both humans and birds alike. But CDs can also be used to transform the inside of houses as well.
