The Most Famous Celebrities From Each Of The 50 States

When it comes to celebrities, very few countries have as many widely-recognized stars as the United States. Whether you prefer action, comedy, or romance, you're guaranteed to find quite a few actors and actresses who have made it big after being born in the Land of the Free. But many people don't know which major celebs were born in the same state as them.

Despite our country's obsession with celebrity culture, there are still many things about our favorite stars that we didn't know. For example, were you aware that all these famous people that have served in the military? I sure wasn't! We tend to assume that some of Hollywood's biggest stars were born in places such as California or in the heart of New York City, but lots of them actually come from small towns, just like us.

1. Illinois- Robin Williams

The late actor was born in Chicago, Illinois. He'd later go on to play some of the most beloved characters in cinema, including Mrs. Doubtfire and the Genie from Aladdin.

2. North Dakota- Josh Duhamel

The Transformers actor and husband to the one and only Fergie was born in Minot, North Dakota. He's also starred in the romantic movie Safe Haven.

3. Colorado- Tim Allen

Born in Denver, Tim Allen is best known for his role in the sitcom Home Improvement and as the voice of entertainment's most beloved toy astronaut, Buzz Lightyear.
