I have always had skin problems.
When I was in my 20s I had horrible acne — I was always in and out of dermatologist offices, where they prescribed me expensive medications with ingredients I couldn’t even pronounce.
Yet, despite all the money I was spending, my skin was still a disaster. Desperate, I began searching for affordable natural and at-home DIY beauty tricks.
Soon, I found some regimens that worked for me, and like magic, my skin cleared up. However, now that my skin is clear, I’m beginning to see wrinkles…
But I’m not going to make the same mistake twice by paying for department store wrinkle creams which cost close to $100 — nor will I be embarking on a pricy medical procedure.
Instead, I’ve began trying some natural, at-home regimens and tricks — like this lipstick hack that hides bags under your eyes — to disguise and slow the process of aging.
Will you be trying out any of these cheap, easy, and all-natural wrinkle solutions? Let us know in the comments below!
To make these all-natural wrinkle remedies, these are the only ingredients you'll need.
They include papaya, banana, strawberries, honey, powdered milk, coconut oil, avocado, a spoon, aloe vera, Vaseline, Preparation H, and some cotton swabs or make-up pads.
First I began with the eyes. We all know that cucumber can soothe tired eyes — but so can gentle pressure with a cold metal spoon.
Just pop it in the fridge and let it chill for a few minutes. Once cold, apply the back of the spoon under your eyes and on your crow’s feet. The puffiness will be gone before you know it.
Many makeup artists and models swear by Preparation H (which is typically used for hemorrhoids) for bags under the eyes. Its ingredients instantly soften puffiness.
It also works well on crow's feet. But keep in mind if you use this method to take precautions. It should only be used for special occasions or on days you want to look your very best.
For a daily remedy that works well for sensitive eyes, try dabbing some Vaseline under your eyes before bedtime.
Aloe is an ingredient that is found in lots of expensive wrinkle creams. It’s loaded with skin-boosting vitamins and minerals. Natural aloe is best to use, but an aloe gel works just as well in a pinch.
Aloe increases the amount of fibroblast cells we have in our skin, which are the cells that contain collagen. Because of this, aloe is great for areas on your face that tend to sag, like under your chin.
Coconut oil is also great for sagging skin, because it’s rich with fatty acids.
Coconut oil is available in many grocery stores, but if you're having a hard time finding it, you can buy it here.
When applied on the skin, coconut oil keeps skin smooth to the touch while retaining the moisture content of the skin. With coconut oil, you say goodbye to a turkey-like gobble chin!
If you’re worried about your neck freckling or beginning to age, all your need is a little papaya and honey. Honey is full of antioxidants and is great for slowing down aging.
Mash the two together until thoroughly mixed.
Then take a makeup pad and get a good amount on it.
This technique is a tiny bit messy and works best if you’re lying down. But keep the papaya and honey mixture on your neck for about 10 minutes. The combo, if done weekly, will tighten and leave your skin glowing, thanks to a boost of vitamin A and papain.
Watermelon is also great for your skin, especially for brow droop, little bunny lines on your nose, and frown lines.
Watermelon has lycopene in it, which acts as an antioxidant for your skin that slows the process of aging.
Avocado can also do wonders for aging skin. All you have to do is mash half of one up.
Then apply it to a place on your face where you see wrinkles beginning to develop.
Lie on your back and keep it on you skin for about 10 minutes. Like coconut oil, avocado is rich with fatty acids. But it also has antioxidants and vitamin C and E, which has collagen and could undo affects of UV radiation.
Bananas are also great for your skin, and I’m not just monkeying around.
All you need to do is mash some up in a bowl.
Bananas are filled with tons of vitamins and minerals making them perfect for tough winkles, like forehead lines. They have vitamins A, B, and E, and the potassium is great for moisturizing and hydrating skin.
Strawberries aren’t just for shortcakes — they also zap wrinkles.
Mix them with a little bit of honey for a great result.
Get a nice amount of the mixture on a makeup pad and lie on your back.
Place the mixture on frown lines and let it sit for about five to ten minutes.
Strawberries contain the anti-oxidant ellagic acid, which helps prevent collagen destruction.
For a marvelous moisturizing and anti-aging facemask that will leave your face glowing, mix honey with powdered milk.
When the ingredients are thoroughly mixed you will have a thick, cream-like consistency.
With a pad, spread the mask all over your face.
Lie on your back until it dries, which should be 10 to 15 minutes. Milk has probiotics in it that slow down the damage of UV radiation and toxins.
