Drive-Thru Worker Waits For Customer To Pay, But She Gasps When He Doesn’t Give Her Money

Working in the fast-food industry can be a thankless job. Many customers expect great service, but aren't polite in return, which can make it difficult for workers to stay positive.

Fast-food restaurants also typically don't pay much, which means many of their employees struggle financially. Despite the difficulties in their personal lives, so many fast-food workers remain positive while at work.

One news station, CBS 6 in Virginia, decided to reward one Chick-fil-A employee for her hard work and dedication. The station found out that this specific worker always put in her best effort, despite having a hard time at home.

Anchor Rob Cardwell wanted to make sure she felt appreciated, so he surprised her with a gift while she was working at the drive-thru. He began by making a normal order, but when he arrived at the window to pay for and pick up his food, he struck up a conversation with the employee.

"We do this thing called CBS 6 Gives where we randomly like to bless people," Rob told her. "Your manager says you're one of the hardest-working people here. So we wanted to bless you."

He proceeded to hand her a $50 Visa gift card, telling her that he wanted to bless her day. His only request was that she pay it forward and continue to bless others.

She excitedly accepted the gift, tears streaming down her face. She truly needed it and was exceptionally grateful. Watch her reaction in the video below.
