Christina Ricci is finally moving on.
After two years, Christina and film producer James Heerdegen have finally settled their agreement and finalized their divorce.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, the Wednesday star will keep their San Fernando Valley, California, home, and the two will split the profits from the sale of their New York City apartment.
Christina will keep the residuals and royalties from her projects. Her former husband will receive a one-time payment of $189,687. He also retains the family car and personal property.
Christina seems to have a bit more of the parental obligations, at least financially speaking. While the former couple will share custody of their 8-year-old son, Freddie, Christina will be responsible for paying for his education and medical care.
Christina is likely incredibly glad to finally put the divorce behind her for many reasons. In the summer of 2020, the actress filed for divorce. It came after an alleged domestic battery incident. James later requested a temporary restraining order against Christina, but it was never granted.
The divorce was definitely a long haul, and nothing about it was easy. Christina recently opened up about the inventive way she funded the divorce, revealing that she sold her Chanel bag collection.
“There are certain things that I have collected, certain bags. I had quite a Chanel handbag collection for a while, but I sold a lot of things,” she told the Sunday Times. “Certain traumas in life go along with financial traumas, extended court situations, custody situations, fighting restraining orders.”
She continued, “Having said that, I’m absolutely doing fine, there’s no issue. But I learned to use these investment pieces in different ways. I also had a Chanel Fine Jewelry collection that I put to good use.”
Christina also shares a daughter, Cleo, who just turned 1, with new husband Mark Hampton.
