Going on adventures in the great outdoors is always great, but it's even better when you have a furry companion to tag along. It's great exercise and stimulation for humans and dogs alike, and photographer Christopher Cline knows that very well.
Along with his goldendoodle and best pal, Juji, Christopher can be found exploring the great outdoors in Minnesota, and keeping a photographic record of all their adventures.
Only being a creative sort, Christopher isn't happy to just record their adventures. Using Photoshop, he alters the photos so that Juji appears giant, larger than Christopher himself, which lends the pictures a fun and imaginative feeling, like something out of a children's book.
Of course Christopher isn't the first person to use Photoshop to make the world a little weirder. People have been using the software to create all kinds of effects, including hilarious hybrid animals for some time.
But Christopher's photos have the added charm of showing the special bond between the pair.

Christopher and Juji's relationship started off rather unexpectedly, when Christopher's girlfriend, Christine, brought Juji home as a surprise.
At first, Christopher was hesitant, not knowing if he was ready to care for a dog, but Juji won him over and now the two are inseparable.
"[Juji] turned turned my life completely around," Christopher says. Prior to Juji, Christopher had been sliding into a somewhat depressive place after moving from Virginia to Minnesota and feeling homesick.
But Juji cured that, as dogs have a habit of doing. And you can see that in their photos.
They go on adventures all the time, no matter the weather or season.
After taking the photos, Christopher digitally edits them so that Juji appears enormous, towering over the humans, and turning the otherwise pretty, but ordinary, photos into something magical.
He says that he wants his photos to have a "kids' book feel" to them, and we think he nailed it!
His images take us back to stories of kids with fantasy animal friends, and remind us that although we might be bigger, the connection between us and our pets is no less magical.
And no less full of unexpected adventure!
Even when they're just hanging out at home, Christopher captures the delight of having a dog.
And sometimes other giant friends join in!

After a period of feeling down and homesick, Christopher says that Juji has helped him get to a happier place.
"I have found a new outlook on life and in my artwork and I owe it all to him," he says.
