This Cinder Block Rocket Stove Costs Less Than $6

The next time you're in a pinch, this simple cinder block trick is going to really come in handy. You might be out camping, you might just be in your backyard, either way, this one is a serious game changer. All you need are four cinderblocks or concrete blocks, some twigs, and a stove burner to make this simple rocket stove. The entire thing is fueled by small sticks, twigs, and leaves. Not to mention that it is totally wind- and rain-resistant.

All you have to do is stack three concrete blocks horizontally. Place one vertically on the side. Load the bottom hole with the twigs, sticks, and leaves. Create a small fire inside of the cinder block. Place the metal stove burner on top of one of the holes. The other hole will serve as a chimney. The process is incredibly easy, cheap, and quick. The next time you want to cook outside but don't have a grill, this little hack will definitely help. Especially if you love it when your BBQ has that delicious smokey taste!

Remember: the less fuel, the more you'll be able to control the flame. Start out small, then slowly increase the size of the fire. For more detailed instructions, see the video below.
