The Way You Make A Fist Reveals Secrets About Your Personality

There aren't all that many occasions where I'm required to make a fist. I might clench my fist in frustration at a situation. I might make one to play "rock" during a game of "Rock, Paper, Scissors." And, God forbid, I might create one if I ever get into a fight.

But it never occurred to me that the way I clench my fist actually says a lot about who I am as a person!

Just as your eating habits can be revealing, the type of fist you make can speak volumes about your personality. And since there are a limited number of places that your thumb can go in a fist, there are really only three different types of fist personalities.

This test is simple — all you have to do is make a fist. Is your thumb on the outside of your fingers, pointing up? Is it on the outside, laying across your other fingers? Or is it underneath your other fingers?

Scroll through below for an exclusive look at what each fist type reveals. As a person who clenches my fist with my thumb out and up, I was shocked by how accurate my description was!

In general, there are only three different thumb positions that can determine which "fist type" you are.

If you keep your thumb on the outside of your fingers, pointing up, you are Fist Type One.

If you keep your thumb on the outside, but it sits across your fingers, you are Fist Type Two.

If you cover your thumb with your other fingers, you are Fist Type Three.

Strong, Driven, Protective

Type One personalities like to project an air of strength and stability, even if they are feeling unsure or shaky underneath. They are goal-oriented and strive to achieve their goals no matter what it takes.

This type of person is a natural-born leader and takes pride in guiding others and looking out for their best interests.

Type One people tend to stand out at work, and fall into the role of the protector in relationships.

Fist Type Two

Outgoing, Self-Assured, Honest

Type Two people tend to thrive on a certain amount of praise and attention. They aren't afraid to be themselves, letting their hair (and their guard) down quite easily.

These outgoing folks have a deep-rooted belief in themselves. And though they may not walk through life acting cocky, they are happy with who they are on the inside.

Type Two personalities can get ahead — or get into trouble — both at home and at work for being extremely honest. As a straightforward individual, honesty is their way of saying they have nothing to hide.

Fist Type Three

Kind, Emotional, Introspective

Type Three personalities might seem like the shyer of the types, but they are simply more introspective than the rest. They don't feel the need to broadcast every feeling or thought that they have, even though they may actually be going through a lot emotionally.

This type also tends to be extremely kind and thoughtful when dealing with others, making them a pleasure to be around.

Type Three people don't feel the need to have a million friends, as they prefer to stick with a handful of deep, solid friendships.
