Cleo, a sweet rescue beagle, has lived with her dad, Ryk Goddard, for a while.
Unfortunately, Cleo's favorite activity is slipping out of her collar and going for excursions by herself — she just loves running free, like this sweet pup named Dew.
Recently, Cleo shed her collar while she was out with Ryk's wife, Sophy, and dashed off. The park she was at was surrounded by busy roads and forested areas, so as soon as Cleo got out of her collar, she was gone.
Ryk and Sophy weren't too worried just yet, though. Cleo had run away before and turned up a few hours later at a nearby vet clinic.
So Sophy went home and waited for a call from the clinic. When the call didn't come, she and Ryk started to get concerned.
Two nights passed and Cleo still wasn't back. The owners were really scared. Ryk posted on Facebook that Cleo was lost, and 200 people shared his message.

Ryk and Sophy were living every dog owner's worst nightmare: their dog Cleo had run away.
Normally, when Cleo slipped her leash, she returned a few hours later. But not this time.
After she was gone for two nights, Ryk posted on his Facebook about her, asking people to keep an eye out for Cleo.
200 people shared his message, hoping to get Cleo home safe and sound.
But just as they were losing hope, something incredible happened.
Ryk's coworker got to the office in the morning and saw a small, shivering dog lying outside the door — Cleo!
When Ryk arrived at the office a few minutes later, he couldn't believe that Cleo had found him.
Cleo was shaking and cold, so Ryk carried her inside and nursed her back to health.
Miraculously, she tracked down Ryk by following his scent.
Cleo is a beagle, a dog with a famously top-notch nose. She had only visited the office once before, but she somehow caught his scent on the wind and followed her instincts.
She was definitely happy to be reunited with her owner, and Ryk was incredibly grateful he had such a clever dog.
Cleo stayed at work for the rest of the day with Ryk, and she couldn't seem to get close enough to him.
Ryk didn't mind the company, and he let her hang out at his desk.
Cleo is lucky she has such a good sniffer, or she might have never found her way back to Ryk!
And Ryk and Sophy are lucky that their dog knew to trust her instincts and follow Ryk's scent.
