Christmas is a wonderful holiday because it brings people together, and there are lots of presents involved. But the true meaning of the holiday goes much deeper than parties and gifts. The latest holiday commercial from Coca-Cola and Wal-Mart titled "Earn It" has one important message. Christmas is all about sharing your time, attention, love and laughter with family during this magical time of the year.
Set to the classic 1965 song "Make Someone Happy," the ad shows a young man going to great lengths to earn enough money to purchase a bicycle. He works out in the cold, shoveling sidewalks and even gets a temporary gig as a window washer. But it is not until the end of the ad that the viewer sees the bicycle was not for him but rather was a Christmas gift for his little brother.
The ad encourages giving and shows the joy that comes as people try to make others happy.
