Captain Edward Klein knows what it means to suffer. He lost both legs, one arm, and most of his fingers after stepping on a mine in Afghanistan, but the tragedy didn't end there. Less than two years after coming home, he and his wife lost their Maryland home in a devastating fire.
But through all of the loss, Captain Klein has gotten to see something incredible happen: an entire community coming together to help one of theirs in need. The ways they stepped up are truly heartwarming, from free groceries to a free home and everything in between. Their could not be a more deserving hero.
