Safe driving practices are key to keeping you and others alive while behind the wheel. It's best to learn these ways early on in life, so that by the time you start driving, you'll know exactly what and what not to do!
But is 2 years old too early to start learning? One officer doesn't think so!
Sergeant Bryan Jared of the Lexington Police Department saw little Harper Barnett driving around her neighborhood in her toy convertible, and he saw that she was committing several driving violations. She was an underage driver who was speeding, playing music too loud, and picking her nose while behind the wheel. So he stopped to pretend to give her a ticket, which the toddler simply crumpled up and threw on the ground.
The officer could have also cited her for drinking and driving, but he figured that a half-finished juice box meant no harm.
He has known Harper since infancy, and knows that she loves hearing the sirens of his cruiser and seeing its lights. This was the officer's way of saying hello.
But what was her excuse for being guilty of so many infractions? She was "late for a nail appointment!"
