A man in a wheelchair was caught in the middle of the road during the torrential downpour. Michael Arnold's wheelchair had suddenly stopped working during the storm and he was stuck with only an umbrella, wheelchair and non-working cell phone in the terrible storm. Officer Benitez can be seen wheeling Arnold to safety and bringing him home, where he stayed with Arnold until his family arrived.
While Benitez says he was just doing his job, it meant so much more to Arnold, an immigrant, who says he often gets ignored and mistreated by people in the United States because of his disability. The kind act from Officer Benitez gave Arnold a restored faith in mankind and absolutely melted my heart!
