Little Girl Is Alone At The Daddy/Daughter Dance. What A Cop Does Next? Unbelievable

Three Idaho police officers recently traded their uniforms for formal wear — but the reason why is truly something special.

Seven girls from surrounding elementary schools didn’t have dads to take them to the annual Kuna Daddy/Daughter dance. When school resource officers Mark, Hyrum, and Krista found out, they decided to step up and take on the role as “dads” for the night and escort the young girls.

The officers were thrilled to take the girls to the dance, and the feeling was certainly mutual.

Once Kuna citizens heard about the plan, help rolled right in. Tickets were donated and flowers and corsages were delivered to the Kuna Police station for the girls.

The girls, who ranged from ages 6–12, arrived at the station with their moms and found a red carpet, flutes of sparkling cider, and gift bags waiting for them — all lovingly donated by the community.

Two hours of solid dancing later, the moms picked up their daughters.

All three officers are parents, so they felt especially privileged to be involved. It's amazing to see a story shed such positive light on the police force. Bravo to the kind men and women of this community!
