Cops On Patrol Shock A Group Of Teens On The Basketball Court

Some uniformed New York City police officers took a break from their shift to play basketball with several teens in a park, and their skills were on point.

A video shared on Facebook by Jay Todman shows the cops scoring baskets and cheering with the boys in the Bronx. The officers even went one-on-one with the teens, including one cop who couldn’t hide his excitement after he scored a great shot at the 1:17 mark.

It's not the first time we've seen police officers having some fun on the job. I mean, who could forget the Delaware officer who was taped dancing to Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off" in his car?

Yet, it's even more comforting to see police officers positively interacting with residents from the neighborhoods they patrol.

In the clip below, one of the teens is heard telling the cops they’re “going to be famous after this.” He had the right idea: The video has since gone viral with more than 80,000 shares on social media, not too long after it was uploaded.

“Glad they took the time out there day to play with us,” wrote Christian Sepulveda, who was tagged in the video, adding that it was a “very good experience.”
