The goal for most people is to have one wedding. I had two weddings, and that's enough for me. Elizabeth Taylor did it eight times…but who can compare themselves with Elizabeth Taylor?
For Lisa Gant, 32, of Yorkshire, England, having just one, two, or even eight weddings wasn't enough. She's getting ready for wedding number 67.
Now, before you leap to any conclusions about Lisa's character, you should understand that all previous 66 weddings have been to the same man, Alex Pelling, 34 — and absolutely none of them have been official.
The couple is taking a year to travel around the world to experience a variety of global wedding customs for their blog, 2 People 1 Life. At each stop on their trip, they meet locals who help photograph and arrange a quick wedding according to the local traditions.
When they have finished traveling, they will review all of their venues and choose their favorite experience to revisit with their friends and family for the official ceremony that will formally bond them as husband and wife.
Suddenly, my decision to have just a simple church wedding seems so boring! To each his own, I guess. We wish this beautiful couple the best of luck…at all of their weddings.

The couple has been traveling around the world in a 27-year-old camper named "Peggy" as they search for the perfect wedding venue.

Not wanting to "drag around a white wedding" with them, they've been using locals to help them embrace local customs, traditions, and dress.

The couple met in 2000, but were no more than drinking buddies for several years.

In 2003, their various life situations took them apart from each other for five whole years.

But in 2008, Alex sent Lisa a text message asking her out for a drink. They've been together ever since.

When they decided to get married, they also decided that they'd pursue their dream of moving to Australia. They've been documenting this move to Australia through various weddings.

They were due to finish in July 2014, as you can see on this map, but they're now a little behind schedule.

They also give a chance for local wedding photographers and vendors to showcase their talents on their blog.

They've been enjoying learning about how different cultures celebrate the unification of couples, and they appreciate the opportunity to share these customs with their readers.

They're scheduled for wedding 67 in January of 2015.

This 67th wedding will take place in Auckland, New Zealand.

Some of their most memorable weddings have been in front of Marthe Stewart in New York, in an Ecuadorian Temple, and at a castle on the Danube river.

These are just samples of some of their incredible wedding journeys. Don't forget to check out their blog if you're interested in learning more.

They have traveled to nearly 25 different countries, and while the journey has been beautiful and unforgettable...

...they're ready for their official wedding so they can enjoy the rest of lives as husband and wife.
