When an adorable little girl was taken to Cracker Barrel for a special birthday dinner, she had no idea that she would actually be getting the gift that she's always dreamed of.
After eating a delicious meal, the big moment finally came. The waitresses brought in her special birthday cake and asked for a wish. This little girl was having a great time and even though she was surrounded by friends, family, and well-wishers, someone very important in her life was missing: her dear mother.
Her mom was away from home, serving our country in the military. And even though this little girl was proud of her mom, that didn't mean she didn't miss her every single day.
So when she was asked to make a wish, she closed her eyes, wished her mom could be home safe and sound, and blew out the candles.
Less than a second later, the girl looked over to her right and saw a familiar smiling face next to a huge amount of balloons. It was her mom!
As far as special birthday wishes go, this one really takes the cake. This little girl really believed her wish was going to come true, and maybe because of that, her mom showed up.
We can't wait until mom's service is all finished and she can finally be home for good!
