He Found A Secret Door On His Basement Floor. When He Opens It? Chilling!

Imagine buying a new home, then heading down to the basement and finding this — a trap door with cement blocks weighing down the wooden planks.

When a Reddit user who wishes to remain nameless opened the door, he made a surprising discovery that would make any new homeowner shudder. It was an 8-foot-deep by 4-feet-wide cement well filled with water. No holes, no pipes, and as he says, nothing to explore. But then again, he never decided to venture down the well for as long as he lived there…

He discovered this basement secret 4-5 years before sharing his discovery with the world. It's since been filled with stone, and he sold the house two years ago.

Commenters everywhere are both fascinated and terrified by this mysterious finding. They're begging for more pictures, but for now, the three photos below are all we get to see.

He bought the house from a "crotchety" yet eccentric old man who had rigged up a book shelf with hidden wheels which he used to hide the entrance. There's a semi-large room next to the well, which has a cellar/cold-storage room the size of a porch.

The trap door opened to reveal a mysterious well that plummeted down 8-feet. Water filled the well, but only up to four feet. There were no holes or pipes inside.
