Our bodies are incredible machines. We have no idea what they're really capable of until we start pushing our limits. Through diet and exercise, we can easily find out how strong we really are.
But our habits and busy schedules can prevent us from being healthy. Our reliance on unhealthy fast food and a sedentary lifestyle can make the pounds quickly pile on.
A Texas man saw that his habits were slowly killing him and realized that he needed to change. William Guinn Jr. tipped the scale at 456 pounds when he started to make changes to his lifestyle. The dad of four always had a dream of becoming a soldier in the Army, and so he worked with a nutritionist and a trainer to help him make that dream come true.
Now, William is half the man he used to be — physically! Scroll down to see what he looks like now!
William Guinn Jr., a father of four, always dreamed of being in the Army.
But at almost 460 pounds, he was well over the weight limit to become a soldier.
In February 2016, the dad decided he needed to change.
With the help of nutrition experts and trainers, he set out to lose the weight.
He exercised six times a week, sometimes for three hours at a time.
Just 14 months later, he looked like a totally different person!
Down to 230 pounds, William met the physical requirements to join the Army. So, he made his dream come true — and was finally sworn in as a soldier!
