This Simple DIY Candle Will Wow All Of Your House Guests

Whether you’re bored at home, just feeling mega-creative, or both, this DIY tutorial looks like a lot of fun to try. Not only are you repurposing items that you may already have in your household, but you’re also brightening up your living space by adding a custom-made colorful candle that you made yourself!

The woman in the video takes long green and yellow candles and places them in aluminum cans. Even though she takes green and yellow, you have the option to take whatever colored candles you have or care to use for this DIY project!

Taking your candle-filled cans and place them in a cast iron pot filled with water. Just watch, as the water comes to a boil, how the wax melts perfectly into the can. Safely remove the wicks from the cans and place them aside because you’ll use them later.

After the wicks have been removed and the aluminum cans have been taken out of the pot, using well-protected gloves, pour the liquid wax into the bigger of the two cans and combine the wax.

In the video, she uses a pot holder to carefully combine the wax, and holds one of the wicks in the center of the melted wax as it begins to set.

Lastly, she cuts away the aluminum and reveals a beautiful green and yellow candle. What a neat trick, right?
