Stuff Straw Into A Terra Cotta Pot To Create An Adorable DIY Scarecrow

I love to change the decor in my house with each season, and fall might be one of my favorite times of year. I can get so festive, bringing the autumn colors and cozy rustic vibe into my home.

I love decorating with lots of freshly picked pumpkins and baskets of fall leaves. But there is something so fun about creating new projects and decor to fill the indoors.

Scarecrows are a traditional autumn fixture. You can easily purchase one, but it's be much more cost effective to make something yourself. That’s why I really love this terra cotta pot scarecrow craft. It's perfect for the entire fall season, and can easily be stored and brought back out each year.

Just imagine how delighted guests will be when they're greeted by this adorable scarecrow. This little guy has a lot of festive flair — he's basically begging for a spot on your table.

This craft is simple enough that anyone can do it. Plus, it’s such a fun way to decorate and dress up those extra terra cotta pots that have been lying around in the garden shed.

This is such a simple DIY project that will infuse a bit of fall into your home, which can last the entire harvest season. It can be a fun Halloween decoration at first, and then transformed into a table centerpiece that can be used all the way to Thanksgiving.

Let's get started!

1. Wrap burlap over one of the medium sized pots and glue it.
