When the weather changes, sometimes one swift wind can be all it takes to change the course of your day.
For these two pups, this canoe ride was exactly that.
As a canoe was resting at a gravel bar, there was a sudden wind that took it into the river's current.
But when this happened, for whatever reason, these two pups jumped in, suddenly finding themselves stranded in the quickly flowing river.
Instead of a human jumping in or calling for help, a dog decided to become the hero.
A black Lab jumped right into the water and swam, struggling, to the canoe.
The two humans awaiting on land cheered them on, but the stranded dogs' barking was more prominent than anything.
When that dog got to them, the most shocking moment of all came. The dog in the top of the canoe held a rope for the swimming Lab to grab. Then, they bold held tight until they were pulled to safety.
This video is clearly such a great moment to witness because it's showing a dog rescue fellow dogs. But the intelligence demonstrated here makes you think twice! How can we ever doubt the brain of a canine again?
I was amazed. These dogs are so smart, and now they're safe, too!
