Animal rescues are always amazing to watch. The only thing that can make one of these rescues even more incredible is when an animal is a hero to another animal, just like this dog.
In the video below, posted on April 17, 2017, a dog swims toward the shore where his owner is after diving into a lake. The black dog paddles as fast as he can through the ripples and lily pads to hand his owner a very special delivery.
As the dog makes his way through the water, his owner asks, "Boy, did you save that baby bird?"
The heroic dog swims closer and closer as his owner waits by the side.
"Easy, easy, come on," his owner cheers as the dog approaches the shore. Suddenly the dog opens his mouth to reveal a scared baby bird who was drowning in the lake before the dog jumped in to save her. The chick falls lightly into the water and the dog's owner goes to pick the precious thing up.
"Good boy, Jax," the owner tells his brave dog and holds the chick up in his hands. The tiny baby is now safe and sound, sitting in good hands.
Jax runs out of the water as his owner holds up the little chick, showing how a simple act of courage can mean so much.
