If there's one thing you can count on dogs for, it's making you laugh until you cry. A pup named Maggie shocked her humans into "literal tears" when she stole her granddad's dentures while he was napping. When he woke up, he found Maggie wearing the largest smile she'd ever had.
Maggie lives on Long Island with her owners, a Twitter user named Eunice and her father. On a typical day, Maggie is pretty delightful. As a shih tzu-Chihuahua mix, she packs a lot of adorableness into a tiny, fluffy white package.
"She is the cutest! She has quite a personality," Eunice told the Dodo. "She loves to cuddle but is also a yapper at times. She’s very mischievous!"
One day a few months back, Maggie's mischievousness reached an all-time high.
It was afternoon, and Eunice's dad decided to take a nap. He wears dentures, but they had been bothering him, so he took them out while he napped. When he woke up, they were gone.
"He thought maybe he had left them in the bathroom," Eunice said. "When they weren’t there, he went searching downstairs and found Maggie under my living room table."
And Mischievous Maggie was bearing a brand-new smile.
She looked happier than she'd ever been!
Eunice's dad couldn't believe what he saw. He snapped a photo, likely right before grabbing his teeth back from this elated pup.
"He sent me a picture and explained what had happened and I was in literal tears," Maggie said.
And just like that, Maggie went back to her regular smile…
For now, at least.
Eunice adopted Maggie, a shih tzu-Chihuahua mix, a year ago.
And when she remembered Maggie's hilarious new smile, she had to post the photos on Twitter.
Maggie's gigantic grin now has over 50,000 likes.
It's making people's entire day.
While other people are probably going to have nightmares.
Some people were reminded of other toothy pups…
While others made Maggie into her very own meme.
Some of us are just waiting for Maggie to make her move again.
Honestly, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
I mean, how can you say no to a joyful grin like Maggie's?!
