Some may think that filmmaker Paul Rosolie’s recent stunt of being eaten alive by a 20-foot green anaconda for his show “Eaten Alive” makes him a snake in the grass… But he feels his intentions were anything but slithery.
In fact, much like other folks that care deeply about wild animals, he was totally misunderstood.
When Rosolie, a passionate conservationist, saw images of rainforests being burned to the ground on television, he got angry and decided to create a spectacle that couldn’t be ignored. So he strapped on a carbon-fiber suit, covered himself in pig’s blood, and took the meaning of his TV show literally by being eaten alive by a snake.
The act angered many, especially PETA who argued that the snake was tormented for the sake of ratings. Rosolie, who has been working with green anacondas for the past five years vehemently disagreed. He claimed that his intentions were to draw attention to the snake’s fatal future in its endangered environment. And perhaps his stunt worked, because in just a single week, 35,000 people came forward to protect an animal that's usually regarded as a threat to mankind.
Not bad for a publicity stunt!!
Watch below as a behemoth beast swallows Rosolie whole and hear about his insane experience. What do you think about Rosolie’s actions? Cool? Or just crazy?
