As we get older, we worry more and more about our parents and grandparents. Suddenly, a simple seasonal cold becomes life-threatening, or a fall breaks a few bones that will take a long time to heal.
Then, as we age, our children worry about us in the same way. While they can't always be around to help us out in case of an emergency, we can hope that someone else's child will be around to take their place.
At 81, Jackey Lokey is a business owner, and has been since 1975. The florist visits her shop neighbors from time to time, walking up and down the sidewalk.
But one day, the elderly lady tripped and fell, hitting her face on the pavement.
For about 14 seconds in the video below, Lokey is on the ground, motionless. Then, a young man runs to her.
That man is 20-year-old Richard Riznyk, who ran looking for help. Soon, friends and strangers alike arrived, as did an ambulance.
The Good Samaritan was anonymous until he came forward when a friend recognized him on the news.
Lokey, though a little shaken and bruised, is now safe and sound. She's also eternally grateful for the man's quick actions, which may have just saved her life.
