Grandma’s Credit Card Keeps Getting Declined, Then Dad Of 2 Walks Up To Her

Every so often, credit cards get declined whether or not we have money in our accounts.

Credit card companies flag our cards any time they think there's a suspicious purchase — but they have no way of knowing whether it was actually you who made the purchase.

It's always a confusing moment when your card gets rejected — you rack your mind to figure out if you could possibly be out of money, but even if you're sure you have money in your bank account, it's easy to get flustered in that moment.

An elderly woman who went to a Wyoming, Australia, grocery store was in for quite a surprise when her credit card was declined. She tried multiple times to use the card, but it was continually declined.

The woman didn't seem to have any other payment method on hand, so she would have had to leave the groceries if it weren't for a kind stranger who saw what was going on.

The incident occurred at a Coles supermarket in Wyoming, Australia, where a father of two was grocery shopping with his kids.

The elderly woman in front of him was trying to buy her groceries, but he realized she was having a problem.

Her card kept declining, even though she tried it more than once.

That's when the father of two offered to pay for her groceries.

Another passerby noticed what was happening and snapped a picture, which he then posted on his Twitter account.

With such a simple gesture — buying someone else's groceries — this man taught his children such an important lesson: You should always respect your elders.

He also taught them how easy it is to do something kind for someone else.

Although you can always donate food to food banks and homeless shelters, it can feel more personal to donate food directly to someone who is struggling.

Most dads running around the grocery store with two young children are so focused on getting through their errands that they wouldn't have time to pay attention to anyone or anything else.

But this father took the time and energy to help a stranger.
