These Elderly Women Are Doing The Most AMAZING Thing To Help 1300 Stray Dogs! Wow…

Most people can't imagine waking up at 4:00 a.m. everyday, but for these five elderly women it's all in day's work. These Chinese women, all of which are currently in their 60s and 70s, wake up before dawn to prepare hundreds of pounds of dog food for 1,300 stray dogs.

The group is so devoted to the cause that they spent Chinese New Year's Eve, a time typically spent with family, caring for the abandoned animals.

The elderly women of the Weinan, Shaanxi Province have proven that life doesn't stop when you get older — and nor should your ability to make a massive difference in your community.

If it weren't for the selfless acts of kindness of people like this "dog asylum" founder, Wang Yanfang, and her comrades, the world would be a sick and sorry place.

One dog is a handful for most, but 1,300 is truly a calling for some.

The women have been taking care of the dogs for over six years to prevent them from going off to the pound.

The heroic women wake up at 4 a.m. everyday to prepare 400kg (or 882 lbs) of dog food for the hungry strays.

60-year-old Wang Yanfang founded the so-called "dog asylum" because she didn't want to see the dogs taken away by regulators. She said, "They're like your children, you can't bear to be apart from them, or to lose them."

Yanfang applied for permission and the asylum is funded solely through donations. (I guess she's not the only one who cares about man's best friend!)

The number of strays has increased over the years so Yanfang hired four more employees who are also in their 60s and 70s.

While not every dog is friendly, and the work is difficult, I think we can all agree that Yanfang and her staff are doing important work that saves lives.
