One of our favorite television hosts Ellen DeGeneres has done so many ridiculously wonderful things over the years. Since her show's first debut back in 2003, she's had a huge impact on so many people's lives.
Whether it's brightening the days of her at-home viewers, helping the folks that come onto her show, or making the lives of each and every one of her staff members incredibly interesting, Ellen's done an absurd amount of good deeds in her day. Sometimes, she even takes the effort to make her audience members feel more comfortable when they're having a hard time in their lives.
I, personally, simply cannot get enough of Ellen's bottomless generosity and infectious laugh. Just watching her find joy in the simple things is a ray of sunshine in my day, like when the Magnificent Britton wowed her with his magic.
Way back in the beginning of her show, though, she met someone over the phone that would continue to bring endless joy to herself and to her viewers for years to come.
Gladys Hardy, who was 88 years old at the time of this phone call, doesn't like to stray too far from her home in Texas. She does, however, welcome Ellen to call her whenever she wants to have a friendly and inevitably hilarious chat.
Just listen for what this saucy lady says to Ellen at 2:26… The entire audience loses it!
