What's a birthday without a cake? Sounds like a pretty crummy party if you ask me.
Many kids love when cakes are colorful and fun, like the double rainbow work of art. Others decide to go all out with some impressive works of art (the marshmallow Peeps cake is the first thing that comes to mind).
But these kinds of cakes aren't always accessible. Whether it be a busy day, bad planning, or a tight budget, sometimes it might not be so easy to get your hands on a delicious cake.
In cases like that, this concoction below is pretty much a lifesaver. Trust me, this is called an "Emergency Birthday Cake" for good reason. Not only is it fairly easy to make, it requires very few ingredients.
Here's all you'll need:
- 2 raised donuts, one with sprinkles
- Whipped frosting
First you cut each donut into four equal pieces. Make sure to be extra careful with the one with the frosted top, as that will be your cake topper.
After cutting, start stacking the pieces of donuts while putting the whipped frosting between each slice. Then cover the sides with whipped frosting. Finally, add the cake topper, candles, and, voila — the quickest cake you've ever made!
