Two Single Parents And Childhood Friends Find Each Other After Heartbreak

It's not very often that I enjoy watching commercials. When they come on during my favorite TV shows, I'm annoyed by how they shamelessly try to sell products I'm already unlikely to buy. But once in a blue moon, I have to sit back and admire the creative process behind an ad.

Extra Gum always does a wonderful job with its ads. I teared up when I witnessed the love story of two teenagers growing into adulthood together. And now they've done it again! I couldn't help but shed a tear when they used a real-life couple's love story.

But this wasn't just any love story  both Jessica and Marcus had to go through heartbreak in order to get a second chance at love. Jessica was widowed at only 25 years old when her soldier husband died in Afghanistan. At the time, she was eight months pregnant with a little girl  whom she would have to raise on her own.

To get back up on her feet, the single mom opened an in-home day care. And who should call, but her kindergarten crush? Marcus was seeking childcare for his two daughters after his divorce. The single dad even had to move back in with his parents.

The pair had met in kindergarten, and throughout high school had a flirtatious relationship, only briefly dating once. They lost touch, but never forgot about one another…

Watch the heartfelt commercial to find out how the two reconnected!
