When you’ve had six children over the last decade and they all turned out to be boys, eventually you’ll come to terms with the fact that you’re a boy mom. That’s what Sarah Molitor, who is pregnant with her seventh and final baby, had come to expect.
Sarah and her husband, Tim Molitor, are founders of Modern Farmhouse Family, a website and lifestyle brand that’s centered around big family living in the Pacific Northwest.
The couple are parents to six boys — ages 10, 8, 7, 5, 3, and 17 months — with one last baby on the way. They, like many, shared a gender reveal video to Instagram, and their reactions are pretty sweet.
"Especially knowing that this was our last child, I was just really thrilled and had settled into the fact of [having] seven boys. I almost felt an identity and a pride in that," Sarah told Good Morning America.
"Girl was not even in my mind a 1% chance," she said.
In the past, Sarah and her husband would find out the sex of the baby at the doctor’s office, then tell their sons at home. But for this last baby, they wanted things to be a little more fun and went for a confetti reveal at home with the whole family.
In the video shared to Instagram, Sarah can be seen crying and falling to her knees as the tube shoots out pink chunks of confetti all over the room.
"There was the realization that I'm not an all-boy [mom] anymore and that's not who I'm going to be," Sarah recalled to GMA.
"Then I was like, 'Oh my goodness, I'm having a girl.' That's the other side of the coin."
