Many parents choose to name their babies after someone special to them or their families. They want their kids to carry that person’s legacy and show the world how much they mean.
It doesn’t have to be that different when it comes to your furry babies. Although giving your late grandmother’s name to your Chihuahua may not be seen as the most respectful thing to do, there are plenty of pet heroes who deserve consideration when naming a new dog.
That's why we compiled this list of famous dog names, where you can find fictional and nonfictional pups who have made a difference — be it putting a smile on a child’s face, or saving an entire city from a virus.
If by any chance you don't find a name that suits your pooch, then check out another awesome list we made, featuring the most unique dog names that your pup would be proud to have!
