Babies in the hands of firefighters sounds like a good photo op. What makes the story of these photos special, though, is that these firefighter dads aren't just posing — they're posing with their own babies. The Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District wowed the town with the news that nine of its firefighters became new fathers within a five-month period.
Something in the water perhaps? The baby boom occurred between March and July of 2019. Seven girls and two boys were born to firefighters in the Rancho Cucamonga Fire District.
"Say hello to Rancho Cucamonga Fire’s newest little family members!" the RCFD said in a Facebook post.
Ecstatic mommy Lindsay Shook captured the moment, sharing these rare photos for the fire district. Rancho Cucamonga Fire District took to social media to display the special event that captured many hearts.
"We are thrilled to see our Rancho Cucamonga Fire District family continue to grow," the post continued.

One of the pictures of the babies shows them lying on their daddy's gear, encircled with helmets and hoses spelling out RCFD.
The photos have been shared more than 1,000 times while earning almost 3,000 likes for the district. Heartfelt reactions and congratulating messages have come in from across the country. Most were wondering how the district handled the abundance of paternity leaves at one time!
